Have the lights slow fade to black and when the editor is enchanced more... have it that the hallway lights up fullbright when the techpoint is taken :)

Yeah, it seems rather simple and effective. However, When i make a cube, It has walls outside, but not inside, and i cant place any props inside, I hate being a newbie at this :(

Try drag the plane down, should create it all inside.
Otherwise select the face in question and press CTRL + F Will flip them.

I got this little area set up and I want to post it.. but I can't get the damn wireframes off of the lights..
How to I prepare it for a photoshoot?
hit F7 to open the layers menu, and add a new layer (name it "lights" or something) To add your lights to the layer, select them, and click the little check box on the right. clicking the box on the left (with an eye icon) will show/hide the layer, similar to visgroups in hammer
Alternatively, use http://www.imgur.com
I posted my shot using the large thumbnail they provide - even better because it's plenty big enough to see the image but still small enough to not take ages to load.
Probably one of the biggest problems i'm seeing with a lot of people's first attempts is their use of lights.
I absolutely agree that red emergency lights are always cool... but instead of using one light (not necessarily red emergency lights) to fill an entire room, take the time to fill it with a dozen or so lights (depending on how big the room is). You end up with a better looking map instantly, with a lot more visual candy. Try and switch up the colours too. Some popular choices it seems are using white lights as your main fill, and then accenting it with small orange lights.
*Edit* Daworm you seem to have the right idea. Just try and flesh out those pitch black spots and it will look much nicer. Maybe line the hallway with spot lights coming from a repeated light source down the hall.

Then I reached the end and was completely disappointed ... there's no more pictures. I'm stuck at work and can't fiddle with this quite yet. :(
Great pictures, great app UWE ... grats.
I would hope so yes.
Yeah freakin great work team, and freaking great work UWE. I freakin LOVE this editor.

Press F7 to open layers
Create a new layer called "Lights" or whatever
Select light, click box next to the eye on the layer. Light is now part of that layer. Repeat for all lights.
Click the eye next to the layer to toggle visibility. Wireframes will disappear, projected light will stay.
Edit: hmmmph was beaten to it :)
If you don't know how. Upload on Image Shack and then copy the code for Forums.
Hey Presto - Thumbnailed Link!!!
