Yet again....
So, Steam has done it again and is doing their Holiday sale. Except it's a bit early this year.
http://store.steampowered.com/
There's a bunch of stuff discounted in general until Jan 3rd, but there are also a set of games each day, on rotation, just like the Thanksgiving sale.
Enjoy!

Nope. There's a 25% discount on L4D2, and I bought a 4-pack which resulted in a reduced, ~28€ / head cost. Shame my laptop is still being a worthless heap of junk, so I can't play it too soon.
No that was Steam itself! It's stupid I know. It's because they have their automated system now where as before you always had to manually input it.
That's more than an awesome deal. That's awesome.
If you haven't tried SH, you should hurry up. It's only gonna cost 5 bucks for a couple more hours.
btw, happy new year all :D
btw, happy new year all :D
Two hours prior to today's sale I was thinking "I hope they put Mass Effect on Sale so I can play it on the PC before Mass Effect 2 comes out" :D
if you've already beaten it on the console like me, I recommend just cheating with console commands on the PC to max out your level and stuff. I didn't have the patience to play it through 2 more times on the PC so I'm just cheating myself some xp and paragon/renegade points and beating it once at max level so my save is ready for the sequel. Now I only have to beat it one more time!
I'm having a lot of fun with it. It's pretty much what you'd expect - funny dialog, neat visuals, fun if a little repetitive combat, and pretty short. I wouldn't pay full price for it, but definitely sale price
- Commandos 2: for nostalgia. Played 5 mins, wil probably never play again. £2
- World in Conflict (and the expansion). A good team-based RTS hampered by low population. Worth the sale price. £10
- Civilsation IV (and the expansions). Bit of an impulse buy, trying to slog through the glacial early game pace, failing so far. £8
- GTA IV. Had no interest in this but some buddies on Steam persuaded me the multiplayer is ace. £5
Total = £25
Torchlight
Trine
Mr Robot
STALKER Clear Sky
Burnout Paradise
Defense Grid: The Awakening
Red Faction: Guerrilla
Morrowind
and Borderlands DLC: The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned
Glad I got most of it at 75-80% off.
Tilted Mill pack
Evil Genius

Mirror's Edge
Trine
That makes my third steam purchase in 2 months where I otherwise would not ahve gotten anything.
