    Nope, we haven't been able to get confirmation from Valve as to whether NS2 pre-orders will translate to copies of the NS2 on Steam. I don't think they're going to commit to this until they see a really good beta.

    Did a little testing in Overgrowth and it seems to be a stick figure fighting game where you can place and build objects. Just from a quick load and running around for 5 min. after downloading it. Looks like it will eventually have art and textures of course. I looked on their wiki and this is a quick description of the game.

    I'm trying to use my Standard Edition NS2 key and it doesn't appear to work. Is this a glitch or is the "get Overgrowth free" deal only valid for Special Edition pre-orders?

    A <i>ninja rabbit</i> fighting game.

    What you can download now is literally in-development builds, so about as bare-bones as it gets. Have yet to try it myself, which brings me to... Thanks for the late Christmas, guys!

    Happy to the max. I had my eyes on Overgrowth (became a fan on Facebook) mostly because it seemed really interesting and you can't have enough of those developer insights.
    And just recently learned that you guys are working close together, but didn't feel like I could do the investment to buy their game.
    But now, guess what; I got it anyway!

    No. If you received your key via e-mail however, chances are, someone has already hacked it, sold it, obtained your personal information, and is currently holding one of your relatives hostage for big ransom.

    overgrowth has a big linux community. so now would be the right time to confirm a linux version of NS2.

    nice deal by the way, at least i got one game with my NS2 preorder now, since i can't use NS2 under linux yet..

    That is alpha access to the editor. The $20 does not include alpha access to the game(play). This pack icludes all that so I guess the standard key does not work here, sorry :(

    To everyone that wonder what is Overgrowth (I'm from the Overgrowth community):

    Overogrowth is the sequel to "Lugaru", a game that were developped by 1 guy when he was at school. Now Overgrowth is developped by a team of 4 people that are working on full-time on it. Its a ragdoll fighting action game where you fight like a Ninja, doing some serious awesome fighting combo.
