Yeah, mine didn't download the guidelines either (although I haven't gotten the new update yet. Measurements on edges as your're drawing rectangles and lines would be awesome. The way the grid fades out, it makes it kind of hard to count grid size as you go long.
Dalin - You can see them at the bottom of the screen (between selection filters and snap settings). Also if you switch to the scale tool it will tell you the dimensions of your current selection. It would be nice to have them as heads-up elements though.
As mentioned, in the key bindings settings, there is twice in the previous and next cycle for the gizmo. One set is for the movement and the other is rotation. Cannot bind both sets with same keys cause keys aren't working in rotation mode.

Breadman... I did but I forgot it and missed it when I went back the second time. Third's a charm. ;)
Anyway my advice still stands. Just shows good form to introduce yourself in the audio/video casts. Charlie always does it and I missed when Breadman didn't do it. :(
A heads up on the "black icons"..... I ran into this back icon dealio while playing the older versions of NS on some of the first Windows 64 bit OS. I remember finding the solution in the old websites forum years ago but have yet to find it again. As i recall all i did was change a function in the console something like setgamma 0. It was a matter of setting the gamma or a shader to be either on or off (1 or 0).
While I'm not good with a level editor, one thing I noticed when watching this video is with the dragging select/deselect tool. I am experienced in digital art and I can't really agree with control + drag doing both select and deselect, especially when things get very crowded. It becomes very easy to accidentally deselect something you wanted to keep when you're trying to select additional objects. One program I've used actually offered a second key you can hold down that's dedicated to deselecting objects when you drag over an area. (Control would be to add selections, shift was to deselect) It sounds like holding shift is used for other functions in spark, but it might be beneficial to dedicate another key near Control to deselection.

Left-Click + Right-Click sounds like it would work.

Hope this is of some assistance.

My previous lack of sleep's message wasn't pedantic enough in its explanation.
I'd be so wasted :p
I'd be dead!
there will be a point when you're to drunk to hit ctrl+z. that's called self preservation.
Gotta wonder how you manage to split your time between tools and game code, Max, but somehow you do - and we salute you for it!
