Will NS2 have the cool writing with place names on the screen?

    No idea all I know is that they recommened naming those places easy to remember and regonize so it might be possible.

    Well, I think there are those landmarks in at least majority of the rooms. Giving those landmarks some good and catchy names shouldn't hurt one bit on the map learning process.

    The object in NS2 is to have distinctive landmarks in each room, perhaps making place names unnecessary or at least somewhat redundant. I would enjoy it if they returned though. Noname for lyfe.

    I doubt they will be made unnecessary. I'd much rather hear about aliens in "Station Access Alpha" than in "that room with the thing"

    I just hope none of the retarded naming occures when and with naming the rooms.

    I.E. having a Hive named Cargo with having a RES Node in the middle of the map named Cargo. It is bad enough with a map being called Eclipse and there being an Eclipse Hive. Gets confusing when you are discussing the map and balancing and stuff in that are you referring to the map as a whole or to that specific section of that map.

    As you can tell, I hate how every map has a "Cargo" in it. Gets REALLY boring to say.

    Noname was renamed without any respect for nostalgia in the end though :(

    Good thing the Rave Room is still in there, and then we also lived trough the rise and fall of the evil rotating door. Ah and Red Room springs to mind with the Viaduct hive in tow :P
