discussion of the Jetpack smoke.
i just have a idea, that like the Grenage smoke of CS, the option or variable that can be adjusted for graphic nature, i made a comment in the IRC channel that why not have the Jet pack smoke , be much more realistic, and i got the comment back that well that would look really nice, slower systems would laf. so here is my solution, why not have a option in the configuration just like CS, where smoke, or Jet pack flames etc..
Are a option of graphic detail 1) Low 2) Medium 3) High
or something of this nature, and low or medium being the blue crap you see now, and high being the Realistic smoke.
I would like to hear peoples comments about this.

My appologies.
But still since i have brought the subject up , i have seen 1 reply or comment.
What is everyone else's comment on this?
It would slow down the FPS alot for people if there are like 2 or more marines with jetpack.
Not everyone has supercomputer!
Its fine as it is.

Way to read the post
It's an idea, reasonable, my only worry would be it would slow the server some more, and possibly help overflow ent limits if there were > 2 marines flying.
counter-strike has the same thing for it's smoke grenade. You can lessen the detail for wimpy computers and crank it up for "super computers"
i belieive it should be a client side var and not a server setting. Using the same techinque on the server...but the client side would see the different smokes. I believe that is what you were trying to say?
And i can see a few posters didnt read the entire posting, but most of you did.
I would like to so this implemented, what can we do to make this happen.
And just want to see this enabled as a option.
Or unless someone personally knows him and brings this too him.
*whack* I don't think that's a good idea.
I just dont want it to be another lost Thread, that will never be looked upon on the right people.
