I don´t know but there was no minimap or other hud elements and still no skulk hud.
If its only removed for show, i don´t understand why there still some hud elements on marines view.
1. The buildings has no Damage notice/sprite (i realy hope they include it and don´t use a tiny information on the building itself)
2. The peformence looks bad (maybe because of recording)
3. looks like the skulk has no impact effects (like flesh or something) and there no decals on the surfaces after they get shooted
4. its weird but it looks like, if the marine fires, he can´t move his weapon, take a look, you will see what i mean
5. a lot of place holder sounds
6. new alien ressource tower 0:11 looks very cool.

its just a PRE-alpha so nothing is done i know and i hope you know too but its interesting.

Agreed. The NS 1 resource tower didn't look very sturdy with those two small legs in the front holding it up.
Ya footage was cool ..
That being said, the video does show that the devs have made significant progress on the alpha.

lol jk it's the most blatant penis reference since the NS1 Hives! I complement the devs for being consistent...this is a natural extension to that theme. Perhaps when the marines shoot it... it will spurt out some gooey substance and go limp.

Imagine dropping some of those by the hive... or the gorge hiding in a forest of them.... lmao... why couldn't it just be something like an inflated placenta attached by umbilical to the resource tower lugs... is that to much to ask devs? lol

I loved the 45 min. matches...
Yes ! I forgot the c.c. It was obvious. But I don't see any IP and though it was an expand (a little base near a RT).
Yea there was no impact effects (blood or whatever)
Game video was laggy and recorder was aiming poorly which we can blame on doing it on the fly (no demo view).
Sounds were off, quite bad and dare say some of em probably aint even placeholders.
Music was bad although that was just my opinion /ignore
Also animations were well lets say horrid, also I do not care of cinematics at all plan on removing em on release.

Good point... i say for the sake of NS2... they should prevent skulks from doing anything but weld-kill type damage to it... Leave the heavy work for the big aliens.

Well, I don't think we are going to see buildings in parts, so I have to agree.
Hit boxes on the chair would be fun.
A skulk could bit down one of the comm chair's hydraulic supports causing a wall to fall down and crush the poor skulk. But in the ensuing chaos the commander is exposed and the alien team piles in and kills him.
Or the skulk to break open a small hole in the chair squeeze its way in then kill the commander. And in the ensuing chaos begin commanding the marine team without their knowledge.
It'll probably never happen but it's fun to dream.

I saw the fan video and at 4:20+ you see this yellow bot is repairing the armory, so i am sure its the welder bot who repairs automatic the stuff in the base, great!

And yeah, the other looks like the turret factory and of course the command station.
To bad there is no hidden lerk or fade ^^, man i love all classes of the aliens.

I realy don´t know why the UWE Team will make it faster, its to mainstream, i want long hard matches, thats fun!

I have heard they've confirmed there won't be any turret factorys. Could be something else.
I think all of the animations or amazing, but the command station is really ugly, sorry but its my opinion :P
What was wrong with a chair? you can still make a cooler animation with the chair, a little bit larger but not too big, the command station looked to me like folding a card board box, it looked like it couldnt withstand any damage...
it had no armor or anything what i could see either.
I know NS aint about realism, im not stupid, but they could make it look like it could withstand some damage, armor it up and make it a bit smaller, make the marine sti down in it =)
The concept that a commander doesn't have to depend on another marine to support any certain individual marine is huge. Easily means:
MORE COMMANDER SUPPORT
A marine and a weld bot can shimmy down a hallway in pursuit of a specific objective. The weld-bot could be just for that important marine (Has a valuable weapon) and micro-management of that weld-bot ensures that objective is met.
Or, the marine is protecting the weld bot, trying to get it to a weld spot that would bring strategic map control to the marine team. (Lights, doors, vent openings, etc) It would be cool to see more creativity in that domain.
Aliens should be guarding these points, and taking down a rogue bot should easy.
Novelty kills: = commander welding a gorge to death, yes!
Really just more for the commander to do, the more choices the better.
But for some reason I'm convinced I must have read that wrong.

Despite the open/close animation... i think they wanted it to look like a lunar lander, but ended up with something like a camper on jacks.

i'd love to be the driver of the commander-assault-vehicle... maybe a trailer in the back for carrying your team around... maybe some miniguns mounted on there for defense purpose...
YES! there needs to be a remote-control cannon on the top of the command box so that the commander can use it to kill stuff that comes to chew on him while the teams away.
I think they are removing devour from the game.
It's a shame though because it was an extremely satisfying feeling to know that you have just eaten your enemy. Not to mention it was a weapon unique to this game, no other game that I known of has anything similar to this.
