It's cool that they're doing this, but it's up to the developers if they want to add mac support.
Theres a lot of evidence that that's going to happen what are you talking about? What does afaik mean?
A lot of evidence in favour of Valve porting the Source engine to macs?

well, does anyone know whether or not Havok (or PhysX or...) is available on MacOS?
Rumors or people just running around saying they think Valve is skipping Ep3?
Because Valve said they're not even working on Half-Life 3.
BECAUSE EVERYONE KNOWS MACS ARE WAAAAY BETTER THAN PCS!
Anyways.... it has been several times that steam "gave hints" about porting to OSX/Linux..... they hired a linux programmer some time ago so yeah.
And still theres nothing on linux eh ?
So don't get your hopes up.

I took it from this and honestly, Source is already 6 years old. The UE3 engine is 4 years old, yes, but it is kept up to date by a company that is in the business of selling engine licenses. Valve`s focus and probable breadwinner is the Steam.
Spark has comparable minimum system requirements and looks much better than Source. It does not even have dynamic lighting!

Aside from linux dedicated servers for every Valve game ever.

Everyone will agree that Source's engine isn't "up-to-date" and Valve said they're not updating to DX11. Well, not yet anyway.
There are times when the Source Engine looks beautiful. Valve just isn't using it to it's full effect.
A lot of game sites are saying they don't think HL2 Ep3 is coming out this year.
But remember, unless Valve says it, it's not true.
troll get a life
Ya!!! What will windows think to call their next OS? Windows Holy Grail? More like Windows Loly Fail.
/sarcasm (Some of you forget your brain actually needs to be used sometimes.)
Why you post this in NS2 general talk?
Steam going to mac isn't a big deal, nor surprising, but I wouldn't hold my breath for Source
When you see it, you'll crap your pants.
lol'd.
@OP: great source there macrumors.com

So and that has been since when ?
I'm trying to parse some meaning out of that post but I'm failing. I'll just say "Left 4 Dead 2" and hopefully that will make you be quiet.

but there is still no native linux version of half life ;)
Blaming user error on PC. I lol'd
And Scythe is right, Half-Life has always had a linux server so they've always had a linux programmer.
