The pistol is recoiling from the shot, so it is up higher then normal at that stage in the firing animation.
Excellent news. Should net a few more pre-orders too; I recall seeing people saying they were holding off on buying until Steam transfers were confirmed.
What would get even more buyers would be advertising on Steam itself. Interestingly NS1 is on there.

Maybe now it has 12 rounds? That would be my guess

That's what i thought aswell but it has 10 in the alpha footage aswell.
I love the design of the new pistol. It's very old school NS but still somehow twisted to feel like the marines have upgraded it for NS2. The angle the marine is holding it at is definitely strange, but the screenshot could be in mid animation.

Am i reading this right but only if you pre-ordered now (regardless of standard or black armor edition) that you get access to the Alpha?
So if you pre-ordered the standard edition early on, you don't get access to the alpha?
Awesome news! Will be sure to pre-order as soon as it's advertised on Steam.
[Yeah, I know I'm going to get a reply about why it's more helpful to UWE if I just pre-order now and ADD it to Steam later, but honestly, I don't care. When you get to be my age and find yourself with barely enough time for gaming you don't ###### around with even the slightest possibility for compatibility issues. Reading claims that it's supported isn't the same as actually seeing Steam literally advertise it.]

No. It says early access to the alpha OR beta, depending on which version you get. Same as before.

Ok same as before. But You did say "access to the alpha OR beta", so if you get the black armor one you only get access to the alpha (not alpha and beta?) And standard edition only gets access to the beta (not alpha?) :D
Think you meant to say:
Black armor = Alpha ^ Beta ^ tools ^ full game Green armor = ~Alpha ^ Beta ^ tools ^ full game :P
You people need to just read before you buy. It clear says:
NS2 STANDARD EDITION
Includes: Full version when it comes out (direct download) Access to beta and tools
NS2 SPECIAL EDITION
Includes: Full version when it comes out (direct download) First access to alpha, beta and tools Special all black marine armor whenever you play online Our eternal gratitude
This is good news. I hope you get an ad on steam store page and on upcoming release spam (which I've disabled though). I'm pretty sure it'll pay itself off.
I'm sure they're expensive, but getting the biggest scene possible will be crucial for the future.

Maybe now it has 12 rounds? That would be my guess
