To be honest, Natural Selection wasn't very balanced when there were more than 20 players, in my opinion. I hope such a thing will not happen.
The more players, the harder it is to keep teamwork at an acceptable levels; in pubs at least. Maybe 6v6 was slightly too small, but I don't want to see anything larger than 10v10

Now the resources are distributed exactly the same way so this shouldn't be an issue.

If it was 80-20 on 32 players in 3.2, fixing resoucre model would probably make it 60-40 or so already.

That IS the biggest problem with NS1 gameplay. I.e. the aliens can do so much damage and escape to heal or the marine weapons were too nerfed to prevent the aliens from running. Imagine if a hmger could run up to a fade, dump a full magazine, and run halfway across the map (and reload) before you knew what's up. And this is how the aliens play every game...

@ the video: watch his lmg follow lerks ... haha, no way ... should have put his steamid there too :p
but even less botted players can actually kill aliens, rines aren't too weak in ns1 - escaping isnt that easy since jps are almost as fast as a blinking cele fade...

I'm an inactive below top tier commander myself and even I can track most of the things with pretty high accuracy. I've got no reason to believe a marine that has played on top level for years couldn't do what we see in the video.
Comments
BTW: I'm talking about at least 6v6 and up, the game wasn't really balanced for a small amount of players.
Look up a PS3 game called MAG

Ps really would like possible player limits of 64.... even if its only for mods ^^
