especially regarding the events of sept. 11, i've had dark epiphanies about human nature. fueled by ignorance, it's our own intrinsic characteristic to destroy ourselves. we're capable of such beautiful dreams, yet such horrid nightmares. I think it's only a matter of time before homo sapiens are extinct--what about you guys?

I believe in the good of the human race. The events of September the 11th, while tragic, were not unexpected, nor a great increase of bad feeling within the human race as a whole. I would explain my feelings towards the situation in the Middle East and other such countries further.. but im meant be working. <!--emo&;)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'><!--endemo-->
The human race is, by its very nature, a mixed bag. People of all moralistic and idealistic backgrounds, just as there are people of different races. There are pessimists and there are optimists (sp?). I would just rather people didnt try to induce bad feelings in others.

There is a very simple answer to that question. Its called ratings. News shows that have a report of a murder or robbery get more ratings then the story of little jimmy helping out susie rasing money so they can go down to the store and get a few cokes. Why do the people want so many negetive things? Possible because when we turn on the TV and we see all these bad things happening it makes us feel better about ourselfs. Makes us feel lucky that we arnt that person, that we arnt living in Afgan. I'll admit, I much rather hear about the war than little jimmy.

Only when there is a hitler. Only when there isnt trust. Only when the freeworld dosnet care enough to stop an evil uprising. Only when greed overpowers liberity. And may I mind you the atmoic bomb put an end to WW2. We had two choices: Send in american soildiers and just contuine island hoppping *taking over an island them moivng to a new one* which would have killed thousands, maybe millions, of american troops; or drop an atmoic bomb on a city, killing thousands of them. I would also like to remind you that Japan chose that to happen. We told them that we have a bomb that can whip out an entire city. If they dont surrender we use it. They laughed at our face so we droped the first one. We said surrender. They said no. We used a second one. We said surrender. They, finnally, said yes. It was japans choice to lose two major cities. War is a horrible thing for even if you are 'innocent', like the people in those cities you are still in the line of fire.
(Only my opinion, no matter how emphatic I tend to sound.)
It is silly to think that mankind is falling into some kind of moral decline. It is wrong to say there is no hope for us because of the pain and suffering we see. And one can only say we are headed for destruction if he first disregards the past.
Push the drama aside. Be honest with yourself. We have overcome genocide and slavery, and gone a long way to eliminate racism. Rarely do we witness the effects of starvation and disease, yet these were once among mankind's leading causes of death. Our wars have gone from leveling several miles of cities to the destruction of only a few city blocks. Our understanding of eachother advances nearly as fast as science and technology. Our culture draws us closer together while our capabilities reach out to the stars.
Doomed? There is no logical evidence of such a claim. The doom of mankind is nothing but fantasy of the mislead and fabrication of hypocritical preachers.
i say OPEN YOUR EYES!!!

The earth as we know it is getting more and more destroyed and it's happening faster and faster, war might not kill us, but other things might, modern scientists have calculated that the human race will not be able to live on earth in about 300 years because of enviromentable reasons,
as of this cause many people think that inventions like the "electric car" and so on will be our saviour, but the thing is, it will take decades and even centuries before most people will use em, because most countries wont sell em (it's all bout the profits) and about then it's already too late
The thing with homo sapiens is that they suffer from a decease, a desease called "greed" which cannot be defeated, it's like internet games, there is always a monster that cannot be defeated, the LAG MONSTER!
And from another point of view I think it's a good thing if we get extinct, we suck anyway, we never do anything good, we eat animals even though we did not evolve our jaws nor our teeth to eat meat,
we are the reasons of several species extinctions, and we will soon ruin it for the rest of the animals on earth too, I say this sucks!
For gods sake someone blow the human race away and save the rest of the galaxy before it's too late!
