Hey, I just created my first map with lights and a spawn and all but I can't find how to test it in-game.
Also, I'm having trouble running the game:
Microsoft Windows XP
GeForce 7800 GT
3.00 GHz , 2GB ram
Direct X9
Lots of free space
<u>
Graphic setting</u>
<b>High: </b>
Lots of graphics/lighting issues. Extreme lag.
<b>Medium: </b>
No graphics glitches, bad lighting/glitchy. Lag.
<b>Low: </b>
No graphics glitches, simple lighting/glitchy. Still noticeably laggy.
I'm not sure if my graphics card is simply incompatible with the engine right now, or if my computer isn't cutting it but from what I can tell I meet the minimum system requirements posted on the main website. I'd really like to be able to fix my lighting issues and hopefully my lag too so I can play around in the editor and start making maps before release. Any and all help is appreciated!

Copy your map to the maps folder.
Bring down the console using the <b>`/¬</b> key next to <b>1/!</b> or it might be the tidle/hash key next to Enter <b>~/#</b>. Depends on your keyboard layout.
Enter: map mapname.level
That can be done in the start menu.

Thanks much, any clue on the performance issue?
They'll improve the editor soon and this might already help with your video card.
Edit: I can't seem to find this file... is it included in the NS2 folder under program files?
Here's pictures of the three settings and what they look like for me.

Notes: The bugged text/numbers on high setting appear after opening the menu. Ammo counter appears to work on low setting only. Other obvious graphic differences I can't term specifically.
It'll take you to the right folder no matter the operative system.
Edit: I'm getting a lot of random crashing with the editor. It seems my computer is rejecting the software or something because there's a ton of issues for my setup.
Consistent crashing when switching tools in the editor. Hopefully the next build is more friendly to me, until then....
