Has UWE been offered work @ Valve?

I guess my question goes to the UWE team. If Valve offered you guys funds and a larger team in exchange for going to Seattle and working with them (and of course selling the NS name to Valve) would you do it?
How about after you finished work on NS1 since that was a HL mod. Were you ever in talks with Valve about being brought into their team?

Considering though UWE is it's own game studio with it's own engine and upcoming (Hopefully) AAA title... it's a little far fetched to say the least.
Otherwise we will have a Flamethrower upgrade that does "critical" damage on the behind.
Although Valve's "Testers" can't find a haystack in a needle.

It has its pros and cons. They don't seem to find really techy bugs or balance exploits (blocking spawn exit doors, permanant uber on Medics, climbing on structures to reach OoB areas, blocking AI by standing on ladders), but they do nail general balance, design and usability testing.
If that's really the reception Valve gets, I dread to think what Unknown Worlds will have to face.

Why? So it looks like they are doing something instead of making Left 4 Dead 3, or something like that.
Persnally I doubt UWE would accept the offer now, they have seen massive popularity as a single company, and a large amount of cash from pre-orders. Plus, a large amount of people said they will buy it after a proper Alpha/Beta/Release. Why give Valve a larger cut of anything in the future? ;)
Stop flaming Valve I mean they release good games. Big companies allways get flamed -.-"
IMO, the last great title they released was Half Life 1. Half-Life 2 was alright. TF2 was TFC with all skill removed and Left 4 Dead was repetative, and Left 4 Dead 2 was Left 4 Dead 1 with less quality and a few new skins
If you're being serious then I'm going to go ahead and just put this out here. You're wrong. I'm tempted to tell you exactly how wrong and what that makes you, but I'll just leave it there for now.
This,

but not this.
HL2 was because they had too/obligation, TF2 is a pitch at casual gaming with a skill ceiling only fail gamers think is high; L4D was more a mod-approaching-beta-game, but at least there was L4D2, its fifty-dollar and nine-months-in-the-making patch.
Sorry but popularity disagrees with you. Majority rules, and whatever your elitist ideas of what makes a game challenging or skillful or worthwhile are, they clearly don't always translate into sales.
I find it amusing how people can get crap just for striving to make good games in spite of profits rather than going for a quick buck. No, wait, "amusing" is the wrong word here... What was it... Oh yeah, "pathetic".
I hope you have strong will on you, Unknown Worlds, it looks like you'll need it in spades...

Funny :D
I also question anyone who can show me a beta medallion/tag from their steam profile.
Quickedit: You don't count THEM, you're an employee :P
I can't raise a meaningful argument against whoever confuses inscrutability with skill.
Otherwise, I guess, I expect people not to ###### from a high tree on whoever dares to make good games they just don't happen to personally like. Of course it's a tall order for the insecure and elite, just as it is in every other walk of life. It's where bigotry comes from, actually.
I'm guessing it's the detachment from any human feeling a price tag creates, transforming games from work of art you're just happy to share into soulless product you feel obliged to berate and complain about.

/sigh
wait... don't answer that.
"They don't support X game! Where's the patch?!"
and
"They just released a beta to be patched later on"
There will always be people who find something to complain about. I understand people missing Tribes and Quake, but TF2 and L4D2 are not the current gen FPS games you should be picking on. They are high quality, well supported games. If you are not their target audience then just move on. Let other people enjoy them in peace.
L4D2 is my fav game atm and play mostly that with the little gaming time I clock in. I still play TF2 every once in a while(updates). But not much of anything else. Even NS, I'm sad to say hasn't gotten any love in a while.
No.

Wow, just wow.
Way to clear things up.
Well, you seem to be doing fine so far on your own. ;)
this is it folks. the bobby-kotick fail-gamer mentality that's responsible for the success of generic clones like MW2 and everything that's wrong with mainstream society today.
