Spraypaint?
<div class="IPBDescription">Possible to do in lua?</div>I have a feeling the devs wont add in sprays, since it really isnt crucial to the game. Nonetheless, would it be possible to add them back in with lua? I mean who doesnt love spraying your image of choice (in my case, a fake ladder) all over the map?

Or at least it would be if we had the cinematic editor so we could make our own effects.
ie. spray painting takes time, and has a visible in game action. That would awesome
Egg spaypaint was funny in Natural-Selection for a while, seeing gullible marines shooting at it from across the room :P
Not that I think this is a reason to not implement it or anything.. I just think spray paint, as a feature in NS2, is a waste of limited development resources.
Or just a viewing of a person spray painting at the time. lol
Hey! I like anime. Keep yer hateful opinions to yourself.
But I wouldn't mind if sprays weren't in.
It'd be hard spraying with all the prop walls.
Get a team of guys going, lets make some sort of futuristic laser printing apparatus for marines to use, add in the appropriate delay, maybe have aliens have some sort of spitting process.
Lets make it unique and distinct.
All we need is for texture operations to be visible from the lua and some kind of way of transferring the texture across to the client (I presume this'll be necessary for the mod loading architecture to work anyway).

Yeah, auto-download is a given. It's silly to say otherwise
Nobody wins, but nobody loses(so you really all do win in the end).

I am almost positive that if some people got together and released a spray paint mod that there will be a good bit of servers out with it. I like mods to an extent and don't think this would hurt it one bit. Maybe make an option to turn off the mod client side for personal client use.

Nice bump
Bumping for every Zig while waiting to join NS2. Yeah for some reason the game just isn't loading at all.
