New alien Class, New Marine class/style

<div class="IPBDescription">weapons, aliens and ideas</div>ok i will run through a few ideas for marines first, then aliens, then a little story on how they could be used to keep you entertained :). I'm not sure on what's changing in ns2 other then everything looks like. Hopefully these havent been suggested but if they where it happens ^^. Did originally want to play alpha before suggesting anything and its 2 days away, but a friend pushed me into it. I apologise in advanced for grammar spelling as dyslexia plays a good part.
the flamethrower was mentioned to be in ns2 for marines so skipping that works in well with my ideas.
Silencers
(for pistol, lmg only) reduces sound for those sneaky pg drops without firing your gun in every direction telling everything single alien near by you jsut killed one (-> requires more alien team communication).
Shields
i'm not talking small here. imagine like roman shields (no gun can be used with a shield "unit" its like picking up a hmg u cant use a lmg unless u drop it. They can only be deployed by crouching. when crouched nothing in front of the shield can hurt a marine, this was deviced as a counter to marines going missing when onos first appeared. marines standing behind the shield and not in a direct line of fire will be shielded also.

ok i know your all thinking what the hell. Think of it as cc deployed at a certain location 1 marine can enter. field of view will be a simple slit acorss the front. from a distence he can aim at the ground but an approcahing unit say a skulk could get right up close and marine can't fire down, same as on top.
ok New alien, Code named "KORFI"
This is a simlair build to a gorge, think armadilio =/.
(on a side note could be an evovled form of gorge or too complex?)
KORFI Abilitys
1) Acid tongue
Mid ranged type weapon (frog like) sounds like fun licking ur enemy to death, but its acutally not far from it.
2)Grease - 2 Functions
First
once fired at the ground any marine stupid enough not to notice this slides pretty much or falls to the ground, unsure how this would work but would make it worth while in a defense postion. Thinking grease could be like marines have mines that can be planted on any surface.
Second
The gorge/KORFI is a general slow class unit at times this can be a problem the aliens realise that there gorges can't always run away due to there bulky built. Grease can be used by KORFI as a slide that is able to project them faster while on it sort of like a path for them.
3)Roller
ok The Roller is the first real defence the aliens have come up with to counter anything marines could throw at them. Using hard like scales the KORFI can roll into a ball completely covering all sides making it invulnerable for "30" seconds or less it can move in a ball, but can not attack. once u start the ball process, there is also a cool down period after using ball for which it cant be used for so long. but you can attack right away.
(would need a lot of work but will give more indepth info)
4)Spine circle
This is a devastating last ditch attempt at the aliens to wipe out incoming marines, suiciding skulks could only do so much and were always shot down half the time. Using the spine circle, the KORFI unleashes spines/spikes in a circular area around him (much like the hydra..but mobile). The spines cause a biochemical reaction when hitting a marine so they cause a small explosion (say 50hp or something).
The drawback is the checmical reaction can only take place if it hits a human target meaning simply hitting the wall will have no effect.
Now on to a story using ns1 as a basis and these new ideas.
First idea / Part
Game's under way. The marines have located the aliens second hive going up. As usual one guy wants to rambo, but lucky for the comm he has hit the jackpot his right close to the hive so the comamnder postions a pg in place. The marine, at first reluctant to build, scouts around until the comamnder finally screams at him and he starts building. Half way done and the marine's ears start to burn as he can hear the pattern of a skulk on patrol in the area. This is too close to the hive and any gun fire would alert more aliens to his presence. So does he sit and wait? No he pulls out a silencer and waits for the skulk to appear. right as the skulk turns around the corner the marine shoots him. the skulk hearing only little sound can't determine where the attack came from. As he goes down he's finally able to see the marine.. as his view fades to black. Quickly the alien relays to his team the postion and place of the marine who arrive just in time to see 3 marines phase through the pg with shotguns, but because of the skulks quick reaction a Korfi unit was on standby. Fireing his grease the marines laugh at first. But not for long - as they attempt to chase the korfi - mistaking it for a gorge - they slide on the grease and the skulks jump in and 3 marines go down. Two more marines manage to phase through. The com was kind enough to equip them with a flamethrower. The marine starts flaming his way towards the skulks..also hitting the korfi's grease. This sets it on fire which causes all the players (marine+alien) in contact with the grease to light up.
second part (second hive bulit 3rd almost done)
The Marines have been pushed back after the rush that didn't go according to plan. The time delay allowed aliens to cap res, while marines wasted a lot of it in an effort to take down the second hive. A bunker was placed at one of the last remaining resource towers. With the commander now facing what seems like onos, fade, lerks on such low res he ditches his last minute attempt to get Heavy armour and opts for the cheaper Shield's in the hope of pushing aliens back. The onos charges and takes on the bunker the marine freaks and fires his lmg pistol and finally breaks out the axe in an attempt to kill it before getting out and running away with an onos behind him. Nearing the marine start he spots a small wall of shields. The onos doesnt seem bothered and charges in head first and stomping. Due to the nature of the shield the stomp is unable to reach the fireing marines and the shield remains inplace not allowing the onos to break threw, as the onos finally releases its stupidness in trying to eat one marine it lets out one last RAWR. With the onos down and the marines trying to slowly edge forward, the panic fades cant get close because of too much covering fire. One attempts to break in and down he goes to a stop gunner as he goes face down to the floor hearing the echoing sound of "my shrink tells me i need an out let for my agressss......". Marines are getting cocky 1 fade down 1 left - lerks are sporing them. commander has carefully set up an armoury behind the marines so they can med and ammo themselves as they slowly push the aliens back. The marines finally reaching a good postion are now in a spot to take out the enemys 3rd hive.
The rambo from last time finally gets cocky enough to break away from the group, causing a crack to show in the surrounding shields. the alien's chance to deal a hard strike has come - But how? The lerks are not working, skulks cant get close enough, fades are shot down and onos doesnt stand a chance.... In strolles a Korfi, once again the marines mistake it as a groge that built the hive. The rambo chases it round the corner to suddenly find he's just been licked to death - a fitting end for a rambo. As you hear the 3 hive is complete, you engage, you roll into it. It wont last long but the Korfi has spotted the crack in the marine's shield wall and rolls towards it. Marines shoot helplessly as it closes in. Not able to pierce his armour, all aim is off the hive with only 75 hp to spare. All eyes are on the korfi. Firing like crazy the marines see the mistake the rambo made and quickly close the gap as the roller ends and the korfi is released and dies within seconds. The marines sigh as they attempt to return to the hive but instead spot a lerk dive downing what looks like another gorge to heal the hive? The marines dont reliase the mistake they have made when they shoot down the lerk as the korfi is detached and releases its deadly 4th attack - spine circle. All the commander can do is sit and watch as his marines scream out oh ... SH*****. The wall crumbles a marines run for cover explosions going off all around as a spine impacts on a marine. With the defenses broken the coammnder has no choice but to beacon... as the onos has now return and is eating away the last of the ips.

Developers liked that idea to, thats why they gave it to the onos.
This thread is a failure, simply because gorges now bellyslide, no need for greasing or "rolling".
Also, Marines are not supposed to be stealthy, so a silencer is totaly out the window.
it would be a gamebreaking experience YESS.
It's just cool, I dunno about balance though.
anyway OP, don't go suggesting whole new classes and stuff. The NS2 devs aren't gonna listen and we most definitely do not need a new class, at least the one you're suggesting.
if you don't want to go with another class just give some of the stuff to gorges :)
but i think it would be really interesting to see how a class like that works out. Of course it should be rather cheap so you can use it kinda like the xeno for skulks. Except the attack itself is not suicidal but you just know that you're going to die because once you're in there you wont get out. So maybe 15 res or something (or maybe even 10 like a gorge) to push back a group of marines. not killing all of them since the damage is nowhere near 100hp but definitely weakening them.
the grease stuff could make up for the absence of webs in NS2. It won't make the marines less dangerous but rather make them easier targets as they can't escape you that easily due to lowered movement capability (not velocity vise..only the rate of direction changes etc..like on ice)
so if you give it to a gorge, the second thing he mentioned about it would also benefit the gorge itself (only). since it's all greasy the gorge can bellyslide further if he's on grease..kinda like lubing up ;)
so he could grease his way close to marines drop a hydra maybe and then bellyslide out quickly.
