count down probleme

in NS2 General Discussion
<div class="IPBDescription">26 or 27</div>the count down say 1 day and 9 hour until the alpha.

but in my country we are 25 july 17h30.

i know they are a decalage with US like 4-8 hours, when i play the morning its night in US.

so why i get a countdown who finish the 27 july at 3 am than we have only 4-8 hour of decalage between euro-us?

    Nobody knows exactly when the game will be out, not even the devs. The exact moment depends on how fast the steam people gets to work and pushes the files UWE sends them. The countdown is for the SE pre order. It will end in some 32ish hours.

    That will make it: Monday evening in the US, during the night in Europe, and morning Tuesday if you are in Asia.

    Count down is for Special Edition, not for the alpha. I bet they will release alpha san fransisco time 26th 23:59:59 ... If i know UWE well, they will delay it maximum.

    This is presumably UW (California) time. That said, they typically release fairly late in the day. So, I expect the game to come online around 3-7 PM PST, July 26.

    Actually they said the Countdown wasn't the time the game would be on Steam, it's the time left to buy the Special edition after the countdown is over people wont be able to buy it. They cannot say when steam will put the download available. They hope its as soon as we turn july 26th but we'll see.

    I think people are overreacting to the count down timer. Calm down. We're all going to get the game at exactly the same moment. What label you put on that moment doesn't matter. Personally I call it Fall 2009.
