Unable to activate Special addition code

I am a long time supporter of NS and purchased the special edition.

I put in my activiation code into Steam where it says "activate a product on steam"

but then Steam tells me

"Please first activate the original game

the product code you've entered requires owndership of another product before activivation.

if you are trying to activate an expansion pack or downloadable content please first activate the original game, then activate this adtional content"

anyone can help me understand where I'm suppose to download the game I searched the site to no avail.

You really need to learn to use the search feature. Go to the "resend your key" page and it will send you 2 keys. The first will activate the game, the second will activate the alpha.

thanks, I didn't know I needed 2 seperate keys I thought just the one. it wasn't covered in the FAQ.
