NS 2 Alpha Crash

<div class="IPBDescription">...after Loading</div>Hey all, I came home, booted up the NS2 client, joined a server, waited for it to Authenticate, and when it was done I was staring at a Black screen with Alpha Version, Press F1 for help in red in the top left corner. NS2.exe then became unresponsive. I've joined multiple populated and empty server and lowered my graphics (even though it shouldn't be a problem); nothing fixed it. Help?

I'm running a 260GTX, AMD Phenom Quad Core, Win 7 x64, 4GB RAM.

    ^^ Same issue. Tried it in different resolutions and in windowed mode, same result

    Specs:

    Nvidia 9400 gt
    Win xp 32bit
    2 gig ram
    Intel Pentium D Dual 2.8 Ghz

    (I think its mostly outdated hardware on my end and I'm in the process of upgrading pretty much everything)

    Also on a side note (and don't want to make another topic) the lowest resolution (640 x 480?) is messed up as it just makes the window smaller instead of actually down-sizing the whole game

    I attempted to delete my local game cache through steam and it didn't delete the game folder. So I manually deleted it. I did a complete redownload and now when I load I can't get past the 'Authorizating...' portion.
