How to gain additonal resources?

<div class="IPBDescription">Is this a bug?</div>Before I end up posting a bug, that isn't one:

Resource Towers don't seem to generate any resources for me.
I don't get any resources either for destroying buildings as a marine.

Note that I was testing alone in a LAN game.

Am I missing something or is there something that is not supposed to be like that?

    How do you get more carbon? Does it just produce at a set rate? The harvesters only gather plasma.

    enter "cheats 1" into the console with no quotes to enable cheats mode which will start the game even with only 1 player. It will also unlock other cheat commands.

    "carbon #" will give you # amount of carbon.
    "plasma #" will give you # amount of plasma.

    easy, minimum 1 player at each team, harvesters and resource towers on resource spots, wait until resources drop in.

    RTs only produce plasma, not carbon. I started my own game and it seems the carbon only went up at a constant rate, regardless of how many harvesters I had. I had 200+ plasma though.
