How the hell do I get in a server? - Authenticating Connection

I tried it yesterday and a bit earlier today, now whenever I try and join any server it says Authenticating Connection or some BS and never does anything and i have to quit via console.

EDIT: I mean Attempting Connection.

    This is a common problem. Check the other threads, or try different servers. There seems to be some problem with the connection code where it'll keep retrying and overwhelm servers. (?)

    EDIT: There's also the problem of many servers being behind a firewall, but not being marked as LAN-Only (so they show up in your list).

    Servers wont disconnect you if they are full or if you fail to connect (Usually a server that is setup wrong)
