<div class="IPBDescription">for a better playing environment</div>One thing that makes mad is the game starts off good, then all the sudden people decide to leave, it kills the game. It would be cool to have a global index that servers have the option of connecting to or even syncing with. Then when someone new to the system joins one of the servers, they get a standard issued number say 100 for 100% awesomeness to game with. If you d'c or quit, it goes down some so say after 10 games you quit, its at 90%. The servers then can have a limit possibly only allowing 80% and up to keep the games fun and good. For those that disconnect and are under will have to wait a week or so to get their number to go back up. Its not permanent more of a temporary punishment.
Then the other idea is to have a global ranking system/ database, i know there are achievements but something to do with statistics, such as how many games played, favorite map, total kills, total deaths, etc.. that can be viewed from the web, can be reset by the player within the game that servers can also sync with or sign up with.
To keep this stuff secure, there would have to be some sort of server registration so that ns2 knows who the server admin is etc...
is this a good idea?

Not for a team game where there is an expectation that someone might need to die for their team for an overall goal.
