Extrude tool question
<div class="IPBDescription">s'not verking right!</div>Hey guys, haven't been around here for a long time but I'm very pumped for NS2. I managed to get a copy of the editor (don't shoot me) so I can make some maps.
The problem I have is that the extrude tool does not seem to.. well extrude.. depending on your camera angle. I made a hollow box, and tried to extrude a hallway, but I can't get the hallway to go very deep because it seems buggy.
Also, every time I use the extrude tool it creates a new polygon. It leaves lines behind, and I figured that would be a waste. Is there a way to stop this from happening?
Can someone point me to a great learning resource as well, because I only found a bit of documentation on level design so far.
EDIT: I found a great NS2 mapping resource!

This editor is quite cool, but I'm noticing a lot of oddness to it coming from Hammer.
Anyone having difficulties selecting the move arrows? It seems like if you even select a pixel off, you select something else entirely and start to transform that instead.
Also, I'd really like it if you held both M1 and M2 it would move the camera forward or backwards like in Hammer. Right now holding both does nothing and I have to use WASD which I do not like.
But dang, this editor is a serious step up from Hammer!
Thanks, but I already clicked your sig earlier :p It's a great tut thank you!
This is what I've managed to make after a day of tinkering.
