Moving Crosshair.

This idea has most likely come up before.

My idea is that the Crosshair or your view will move a tiny amount to make it more realistic because I don't think many people can stay perfectly still.

Any other ideas to build on this?

Sounds rather annoying. A bit of recoil and limited accuracy should be enough.

I agree. Moving crosshairs are annoying. If it's added there should be an option to turn it off.

No to moving crosshair. It's extra movement on the screen that prevent me from spotting that shadow of a skulk in the distance.

Yes to crosshairs being wider to indicate less accuracy.

If they do something where moving is less accurate than standing still (plz no!) then a changing size crosshair would be appropriate.

As has been said I also disagree with the idea. There is adding subtle immersion (like screen shudder ala L4D2) and then there is effecting aim in a very target fast shooter.

Actually i'd much prefer to only have a laserdot, instead of a crosshair.

That way you wouldnt really know how big the spread is, and you'd have to spend some time getting comfortable with your weapons.
And, depending on how balancing goes - it could be a nice addition for kharaa to be able to see the dot too in order to get a little heads up if they're paying attention.

option of turning a lazer pointer on/of as secondary or thirdary option on weapon.

Things like aim correction are generally not a good idea in fast paced shooters, you can have the challenge come from speed or from an artificial limitiation on your aiming ability, but not both.

If NS2 was slower-paced like Red Orchestra then I'd be for it, but as the gameplay stands it wouldn't really work.

Sounds like mouse smoothing with a twist, no one likes mouse smoothing!

It doesn't make sense to have it wobble, unless of course the entire view of the game would move i.e. bob around when you run, i.e. screen shake. And when the onos is around, etc.
