This is stupid. I wasn't here for this apparent "epic debate and epic re-debate" but nitpicking over things like bunny hopping & achievements like somehow they are game breakers is stupid. I personally could care less about achievements. When an achievement thing pops up in any game i'm playing, I think to myself "i don't care" and keep playing. I never check my achievements, and I never work towards any achievements for "unlockable content".
My main point is you 0.5% of the player base "Super hardcore fanboys" can go crybaby somewhere else. I think NS2 is developing extremely nicely & the community communication & independent attitude of the team is a great break from the activision/EA monopoly. My $35 pre-order that i'm placing tomorrow may only be able to fill half a tank of one of the devs vehicles, but at least it's helping him get to the office & produce our beloved NS, and thats that. I'm trading my hard earned success ($$$) in return for their superior game developing skills.
