<div class="IPBDescription">Connecting to servers</div>I havnt been able to play ns2 at all since it came out for alpha and im kinda annoyed, i dont see my steam ever updating and i just tried getting onto a server and all these errors popped up, what am i missing? am i doing something wrong it seems that my ns2 isnt updating or something, i cant even see the background on the main screen anymore


This is what i see when i connect to a server to play

What do i do or can do to start playing? its very irritating :P

    I see you were connecting to NSArmory - Central. I think you need to update to the new patch. Nothing on the server has changed except for the patch.

    what do i do to update? i thought steam was supposed to automatically do that? and i cant seem to find a download button on this website (previous times)

    Restart steam, it should do the update for you. Otherwise maybe the content server you are on hasn't updated yet, try another content server. You can change that in the Settings in steam.

    Check your download settings in the Steam game library. Rightclick on NS2 in there, in this new window check to see if on the TAB updates, automatic updates is set to "Always keep this game up to date"

    Have you tried a reinstall yet?
    Updates can sometimes mess up your installation if errors occurred. My guess is that a reinstall will at least fix this message problem.

    post your full %appdata%\Natural Selection 2\log.txt file or post a link to it , there too much spam in that console screenshot to show where the first lua happened
    most of those errors show your lua files are mostly up to date
