can we get it as hq audio file?
I was wondering if you could offer the intro music (I guess it's "Hive"?) as a high quality audio file for download pretty please :)
The one ingame actually sounds distorted sometimes, esp. at the beginning, propably due to the compression. I also tried extracting it from the fsb files but the quality doesn't change pretty much :(

Yikes, you're right. Well not sure where you can get that, but I saw some discussion in the modding section of the forum where someone found a program that could export audio from the datafiles, although I could personally not get it to work.

and site from which you download it

Update:
WARNING: Also be VERY aware that a lot of sounds are so DISTORTED that it'll scare the ###### out of you if you have high volume, so just keep it low!
However the track you're looking for can be found in steamapps\common\natural selection 2\ns2\sound\music.fsb as music(2) in the list.
That's why I was asking for a hq version :)
hi-def? Just ask for a lossless copy of the track.
ps if u guys come across sounds that are broken and just sound like really loud distortion that ruins ur speakers and ears can u send me an email with the details of what sound is doing it,
its a problem we get with FMOD sample rate optimisation and occasionaly it messes random sounds up like that
thanx guys

I was under the impression that the crackle from 5,5 on was unintentional. some sort of overmodulated bassline, which might have been a result from the compression.
But since you say thats how it's meant to be..
Thanks for the answer and keep it up. I really like both included tracks (except for that cracling sound ;) )
