Graphical Anomalies and Connection

I always seem to get this weird gray-blue tunnel vision bs whenever I try to play and it happens quite often. Happens as commander when I am over the base, and also when I'm on foot after I build an armory, could be that was improperly coded and spazzes out. I haven't been able to find other topics on it but I don't see how I'm the only one with the problem. My computer can handle this game. I can play all new games that are out now and my video card drivers are fully updated.

Also what's the deal with playing and all of a sudden "Connection problems detected..."? No. My internet is fine, still runnin great. Why does it drop me for long periods of time and then pop me back in only to say it thinks there's connection problems 2 seconds later?

Pic shows new graphics problems and lack of shotgun model.

I had same problem, but i have 'blue' texture glitchers, no gray :D
Try set detail on MEDIUM... it's help me, (dont know why, but help :) )
GTS 450 is relatively new, but still integration of it would be good.
Check GetSatisfaction (F1 in game or the "Feedback" tab over there ----->)
See if this has already been reported for your card, if not, start a post for it.
The Devs rely mostly on GS for tracking issues, so please don't limit your problem report to the forums.

A Playtester had same issue.
Max was saying stuff like that can be Video memory related.
I notice your card is 1GB GDDR5 so running on Medium settings or lower might solve the problem for now?
Did you try that?
If you can run a DXDIAG and post the screenshot and the results saved from the DxDiag to getSatisfaction then Max can have a look but I got a feeling it's a weard windows problem that requires a work around in the game code to solve.
What Operating system are you running?
I'm using XP 32bit, it's not exactly new but I think it's still pretty common as far as OS goes.
How do I add a txt file to my GS ticket? <a href="http://gsfn.us/t/1uz58" target="_blank">http://gsfn.us/t/1uz58</a>
Edit:
<!--QuoteBegin-"some Random Person"+--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE ("some Random Person")</div><div class='quotemain'><!--QuoteEBegin--><i>"Yes there are some general memory issues with 32bit Windows and how it addresses memory between applications and OS.
32bit Windows allocates the 32bit virtual address space evenly between the OS and the Program. There is a /3GB boot switch which basically shifts the balance in favor of Programs, but then restricts the OS to 1GB of addressable memory. This can in some cases net you some performance, but this assumes the OS is content with only 1GB of addressable memory and that your 32bit application is written to take advantage past the traditional 2GB address space barrier.
The Windows Server line, 2003 for example, has an additional piece built into the Kernel that XP does not. PAE, Physical Address Extension. Well I should say it's present in the XP kernel, just disable due to stability of drivers and driver support in general. Basically PAE breaks down total memory into more easily handled 4gb junks, which again are dealt with the above virtual address space. Even in this configuration, you could have 64gb of system memory, but any application is still limited to the addressable 32bit space it's assigned to.
There is however, more relevant here, an issue with 32bit windows and it's memory mapping of devices, which includes a Video Card's memory address range. That can and will reduce your available memory. So to begin with you will never see a full 4gb of memory addressed by a 32bit version of XP/Vista/7 and you could see even less memory reported depending on video card memory size. SLI and Crossfire still have to have their video memory mapped to system."</i>

This behavior is the expected result of certain hardware and software factors.
Various devices in a typical computer require memory-mapped access. This is known as memory-mapped I/O (MMIO). For the MMIO space to be available to 32-bit operating systems, the MMIO space must reside within the first 4 GB of address space.
For example, if you have a video card that has 256 MB of onboard memory, that memory must be mapped within the first 4 GB of address space. If 4 GB of system memory is already installed, part of that address space must be reserved by the graphics memory mapping. Graphics memory mapping overwrites a part of the system memory. These conditions reduce the total amount of system memory that is available to the operating system.
The reduction in available system memory depends on the devices that are installed in the computer. However, to avoid potential driver compatibility issues, the 32-bit versions of Windows Vista limit the total available memory to 3.12 GB. See the "More information" section for information about potential driver compatibility issues.
If a computer has many installed devices, the available memory may be reduced to 3 GB or less. However, the maximum memory available in 32-bit versions of Windows Vista is typically 3.12 GB<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Looks like the issue is that not all the GPU memory you have can be mapped on 32-bit systems.
