<div class="IPBDescription">Ideas</div>One thing that popped up in my mind was how difficult it was for me understanding all of the abbreviations when I started playing NS1. DC's, MC's, SG's, IP's, OC's, HA's, JP's and so on... Perhaps some sort of "translation-system" in the chat would be a nice thing to take care of this problem. If a player writes: "research SG pls" this would be displayed as "research shotgun pls".
I believe it's very important to make the learning process in NS2 more fun and easy then it was in NS1 where I found it extremely tough to understand all of the games concepts. I only kept trying to understand how the game worked because I had read so much about it and knew that it would probably be worth it in the end. Right now the game isn't really that hard to learn, but more content is being added which means a more complex game. Let's come up with ideas to give NS2 a more pleasant learning curve! Moar people = moar fun!

The biggest problem is that the devs would need to collect all the common abbreviations and keep them up-to-date.
I think slang is kind of a thing you just have to learn, because its use is kinda subjective.
I am new to NS anyway and when i first heard IP and CC i was like "wtf? you want to know an ip adress and crowd control?"
Could be usefull, but i would also be just happy with somekind of glossary to check things.
1. Marine gameplay, shows how you spawn, what each building does, how to get weapons/ammo, your hotkeys, how to use chat/voice chat, how to follow orders etc.
2 Marine Commanding, Basics of the commander UI, a little push in the right direction in how to run the team as a commander. Hotkeys and tech trees gone through.
3. Basic Alien gameplay, explain all the alien classes, and what they are designed too do(lerks for range support, fades for harassment etc)
4. Alien commanding, same as the marine commanding video, except obviously for aliens...
these videos, could have ns-slang terms incorportated into them.

nope. sentry guns are turrets (or, if you are a tard, 'turrents')
