Otherwise all the people who play gorge/medic/engie are always going to be alien!
I like that commanders get to take over welding now, but I definitely hope the flamethrower gets nerfed a lot and becomes the NS2 version of the welder, relegated to removing DI and other buildings. Maybe a niche attack of clearing vents.

Yup, Gorge and Marines can do this and have been able too for a very long time now.
I think we will. Back in one of the previous builds i noticed an untextured welder model that looked like the one from ns1.
Many ways to win is a good way to make a game fun for many people.
I'd like for Alien buildings to stop working if their line of DI is cut off from a hive. Thus, a flamethrower cutting lanes of DI would unpower alien structures. Pretty good support role (doing something useful which isn't just damage).
NEW support role: stand in front of marine push in case of lerk snipers.
I do like the idea of the ammo person though.
