Shouldn't be too spammy if its not saying *vote for ns2* !
And who cares if it is... vote for ns2 :P
NS2 deserves to use its existing community for an annual popularity reward.
Eh, whatever. It will probably get a lot of votes just the same.
Anyway, if you look at the award as recognition of independent development effort, rather than point scoring games on gameplay, graphics, sounds, etc etc then the collective development effort that has gone into NS2 far exceeds that of Minecraft.
And I'm betting NS2LOL is baron_bad_egg is Impatient21. We must stop feeding him.
crispix u're being a bit immature here...
i was just saying the game isn't near completion yet.... so this year it shouldn't b ns2... next year or the year after yea, if it recaptures ns1....<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
And I never said that it was near complete, did I? I agree with you, the game isn't near completion. There's still a lot of work for the game become more playable, and feature complete. The community needs to expand more, and that will definately happen once it goes on Steam.
But I guess to bring up Minecraft in an NS2 forum really isn't really helping this thread. I wouldn't even consider Minecraft to be a game, but more of virtual lego. It's just for users to create voxel worlds, that's pretty much it, or atleast what the majority of players are doing right now. Anyways, I'm beginning to be a bit hypocritical, because now you've got me mentioning Minecraft. I already know that game will do well, but lets focus on making NS2 succeed for those who want to vote it for Indie Game of the Year.
Anyway, I have voted for NS2 on RTS category and Overgrowth in adventure category. Both games are incredibly good.
What I have to mention is the good part on this awards, the indie developers are getting more and more recognition which will lead to a better game industry, therefore better games for us.
Even there are some games that where released several years ago, but they are in the contest.
NS2, Overgrowth and minecraft are 3 games that have something in common (there are more), it's community helps to keep them alive and the 3 share a large portion of the same players in their communities. I know a lot of people that have 2 or the 3 games and that is just impressive.
Of course I want NS2 win on it's category, and probably be the most voted game, but I'm happy to see the recognition on the indie developers.

Well, you could always sign up for a few quick hushmails.
..But that WOULD be cheating ;)
Anyhow - voted!

nothing better than some vac packed OJ Kush apparently :p
Its RTS
Seems an odd placement, it's more FPS than RTS surely.
