in NS2 General Discussion
Anyone think NS2 will have any impact on current games? Either competitively or generally?

Seems to be a bit of fear in comp TF2 community.

    tf2 = SUCKS because valve make it to a game like pay2play.
    NS2 will have no impact, because people are to ...how can i say it nice, "unwilling learn a new type of gaming", they like to just walk and shoot, spawn and shoot, thats simple.
    NS2 is more complex and use your brain a bit and of course need a lot of teamwork, so the most people would not play it.
    As ns1 was released i tell a lot of my friends, most play it, but some say "oh that game where these things walk an walls...never"
    Anyway i love NS2 and i am happy there is more then these stupid call of duty xx, counters-strike stuff and now tf2 pay4play.

    I didn't think it would rate either zex. But there's three different threads on the main TF2 comp forum along the lines of, will NS2 replace the comp of TF2 :/

    Couldn't find any other game mentioned in the same light, let a lone three times.

    I'm guessing it would be similar player numbers to NS1, which means it might make it in the top 20 on Steam. I really don't care if it "affects" any other game. As long as it keeps a few local servers full for years, I'm happy.

    I really hope it impacts on other games.
    It's a great community and a great team game where you have to work together.
    Anyone looking for a great team game will play hopefully. The word seems to be spreading.
    Iv'e been enjoying ns2 so far and have been playing more than BFBC2 vietnam.

    This can be easily answer by the next question. It's NS2 a casual gamer game?.

    If yes, ok it will sell a lot have a BIG multiplayer boom (about 2 weeks), and then casual gamers will jump to another game.

    If no, no boom, no casual quitting in 2 weeks, not a lot of copies sell.

    That is how game industry works this days.

    ns2 is not to be discussed for being beaten, as a matter a fact it has already won.

    market share % owned with ns2 will rise greatly, when the final product comes out... everyone will be buying ns2 like the new i phone.

    a game where you can be a onos is the best ever. hands down best.

    Unless you're the type that HAS to have every hat to keep up with the hype, and you're feeling pressured to buy from their 100% optional 100% visual flair store.
