Currently the flashlight feels completely wrong. What I suggest is that the cone of the light be shrunk and the brightness be increased, as it stands right now it fills most of the screen but doesn't do much.
Also some obvious cone extending out in front of the player would look fantastic in terms of visuals; picking up light particles or just some volumetric lighting ala "the blinds" video.

make it a bit smaller but brighter in the middle ( like a real flashlight :p)
may addi this effect with the shadowrings as you can see on flashlights

a nice feature would be also that a flashlight can blind aliens a bit
yes the flashlight don´t feels realistic. :D A flashlight like stalker would be more fun. Its more atmosphere.
All for the basic suggestion though.
