Music?

I went into the music folder to change the music they normally play for ns, i think there is two by default, every once in awhile they play it when I play ns, but when i went to change it again recently to another track, it hasnt been playing it, does anyone know why? i checked to see if i remnamed it right and i did so it isnt that, any help would be appreciated.

you don't need to rename the tracks, any mp3 you put in there will play at random in game. I added one mp3 and the file name is main.mp3, it works fine, all 3 play at different times in game.

ALL 3? you mean you can put in three different kinds of mp3? I thought i t was 2, bewcause it was 2 by default, if 3 can it be like several so it just randomly plays all of em?

It'll play any mp3s you put into the music directory at random. Which is handy.

The best music i've found that really gos with the action in the game is Massive attack "Mezzanine". Mezzanine is the album name and all the music is very dark. The genre is Trip-hop. sigh its so creepy

I put in a lot of IDM/experimental techno like boards of canada and amon tobin, along with a little industrial and hard house. I really like the fact you can do this, I just wish you had more control over when it plays something. but I guess they've been talking about adding a function to do that in game in the future

I left a Music CD in my drive while playing and it played that! Sure it cut the tracks short by a minute or so but no problems with lag or FPS.

Last time I played an fps with music was doom.
I dont want to risk hearing footsteps just for some music. Only time you would want music is hardkore deathmatch where stealth is nil.

yea i find techno hard trance or darker soundtracks are fitting to a game like this, i tried some tupac and dmx and it just doesnt fit lol

I prefer to just leave winamp on and play, guess what.. "techno". You heard it, sometimes I just use some softer music, keeps me calm and cool in the heat of battle. It always gets me into the mood of alien slaying or marine chomping.
