Suggestions For Post-fade Morale Boosters?

How to keep pubs fightin
Its hard to keep pub marines fighting after the fades come to the base. Anyone have any ideas to keep marines motivated? Victory is still very much possible after fades arrive, but the game always descends to people hiding in the base, asking for weapons, and in some cases, hiding behind the command chair (im not kidding).
Maybe commanders could say they are going to give heavy armor to whoever kills the first fade? I dunno.
Whenever I play aliens, and I do the "hang out outside the marine base and blast them with acid then run away" tactic, im pooping my drawers at the prospect of two marines actually chasing me down and owning me, since by the time I run away, all my energy is gone and im low on health, looking for a DT or waiting for my regen.
Death is nothing to fear! Semper fideles.

But that's not the purpose of your post.
I think you should find the marines that are following your orders the best, give them HA and a decent weapon, and send them out as a strike force to attack a hive. Make sure you follow their progress and take out the hive.
Nothing boosts morale better than taking out a hive.
The only hope to get marines wanting to fight again is giving them hmgs. Only problem is most run out and die because they don't attack fades, they sit there and let the fade own them from long range. (at least with my experience)
Well that's the problem. If you don't have HMGs by the time the aliens get fades (which almost always happens), of course your troops will lose morale.
Fades are a midgame unit. Most marines try and fight the midgame with early game (LMGs, maybe 1 or 2 armor upgrades) tech. You can't combat anything that's higher on the tech tree very succesfully.
If Fades cost, what, 44 rps to evolve, why should the marines have an easy time taking them out with free LMGs and pistols? HMGs, shotties, armor, and jetpacks are the equalizers in the game.
EDIT: Fixed the Fades rp cost!
As a Marine if I beleive that a commander is upgrading my armour and ammunittion then I'm more than happy to fight fades with an LMG... I know I wont kill em on my own but I'm more than happy to run screaming into a corridor chasing a fade, who's low on health and energy Wip out the LMG then the pistol then go the knife, (there's never enought time to reload)... If I'm lucky some one will follow and lend a hand
As a 0 cost unit I figure I'm expendable, and I've had my fair share of kills fighting in ths manner, fades just dont expect the marine to rush with an LMG...
Most fade players seem surprised when they wind up dead too, which just adds to the sweetness.. and if I wind up dead (as i do 2 out of 3 times) what the hey I'll be bac in a sec, where as if I kill the fade well that 44 resources I've judt removed from the hive collective, and slowed the gorge resource gathering
Bart
You're right, my mistake. I haven't played in like a month.
"Get out there!! I want that fade's head on my wall!!
"Whoever gets that fade gets a **** job from my sister"
"Whoever doesn't get that fade is a p***y fart"
I like Jeebus's suggestion too. That is one that will work.
And tell them to always chase the fade if all they've got is an lmg and light armor. Your team won't lose resources and there's nothing better than seeing a fade run and jump for it's life down a hallway with it's girly arms waving in the air while you gun it down.
IF your marines are such cowards as to hide the moment a fade appears, just hop out and find a new server cause frankly, with a grunt-level attitude like that it's no wonder why Fades are pounding on your doorstep. I've lost count how many times I've yelled "FFS RUSH THE FADES!" everytime I've come across them, emptied everything at them and no damn marine is backing me up cause they **obscenity**-bolted back to base begging for HA/HMGs instead of firing off half a clip and wasting that fade to begin with...
Fear is the 6th kharaa weapon and one that takes no skill to use. Only experiance to counter
Step 1: Wait for fade to expend his energy acid-rocket sniping you, then run away.
Step 2: Have 3 marines hightail it after him, with one spamming "Yakkity Sax" over voice com
Step 3: Comedic death of fade.
option
Of course, the proof is really in the pudding. The best way to do it is to get HA/HMG up, and mass an attack somewhere. If your squads manage to get ahold of a lone fade, or a small group of them, and hunt him down, it works wonders for them. Not only does owning up on the first fades you see give marines confidence, it saps confidence from the alien players. Most of the time, you hear 'we're gonna win' from aliens, and 'we're boned' from marines as soon as the 2nd hive is up. Why? Because the aliens think that because they've got their mid-game stuff avalible now, they've got things locked. Nothing destroys that momentum like having a raiding party reduced to a syrupy green goop.
Some good old "What's wrong you maggots? You want to live forever?" said confidently by the commander will probably instill some hope in the skittish old pubbers.

Most of the time when I am commanding, and my soldiers are afraid of the fades, I jump out of the command chair, go kill one with my LMG or Pistol, then assure them over the voice that it can be done, because I just did it. I've been trying to tell soldiers how to deal with fades (charge them, do not run away) and that helps a little. If you remind your soldiers that every time you let a fade run away, that he is retreating because he is almost dead and needs to heal, that helps a bit.
Overall, I think this is a problem that will solve itself in time. Once the avarage marine understands that fades are not the end of the world, you'll see more fade ownage going on.
Personally, I am more upset at the marines I have been commanding not being able to take out skulks at the start of the game. The last 3 or 4 games I have commanded, we've had really poor starts because I will send 3-5 guys to a waypoint, and only one will make it there, if any at all. It's times like these when I want to jump out of the command chair, walk them to their location, then once they are secured, get back to base. If I could get more marines that could survive a single skulk, they wouldn't have to worry about fades at all...
