<div class="IPBDescription">My first win as comm and abuse</div> Welcome, my fellow NSers. I am here to tell you some stories of a sad tale that happened to me and a clanmate last night.
The night started off fine. My fellow clanmate, Skitz, and myself were doing our daily few rounds of NS. The ever so boring search for a good server came up, and Skitz suggested we join a server named [TG] The Group. Since I am not one to object when I am being lazy and letting the pther person search, I said "see you there!" and booted up Gametiger. I happily entered the IP, looking forward to a night of NS. I read Connection accepted and grabbed my mic, ready to hop into battle. The ClanMod rules came up, which made me happy. I like ClanMod <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> Anyways, on to the story.
I joined the Marines at the end of a particularly bad round on tanith. The aliens had all three hives and were kicking our **obscenity**, to put it bluntly. I simply marched to my death, <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='asrifle.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::onos::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tiny.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='tiny.gif'><!--endemo--> . The map was over within minutes, and then the ever-famous LOADING came across my screen and I waited for the map to change. I spawned in the Ready Room, and cheered realizing it was bast. I ran into the Marine team and jumpedi nto the comm chair as fast as my TSA legs would allow me. I began setting up my base, and had my marines capture atmospheric processing and the feedwater hive. At this time I got motion tracking, and noticed that there was a gorge building in main aft, setting up an ambush for my marines on the other side of the turntable door. I warned my marines and began upgrading the turret factory to an advanced one, planning to siege the ambush to a little smoking pulp.
The TF finally finished upgrading, and I was just about to place a siege turret, when the little gorge chimed up and said bluntly "No Siege." I disagreed as fast as my fingers could type, and then the gorge said it again. No matter, the gorge doesnt' want blwon away. I'll do it anyways. Then a new message flashed onto my screen:
Message from admin Jinna: NO SIEGES
I sighed and asked why, and said no defense turrets for them in that case. She of course disagreed, and yelled at me. I finally gave in and sent an HMG/JP marine into the engine hive to take it out by hand. He did so wonderfully, but sadly they had the refinery hive finished seconds before my marine took out the Engine room one. I figured this would be a simple task, and sent all my marines into refinery with the task of taking out the hive. They went in, and had the hive almost dead, when the abuse began. I watched in horror as every single one of my marines died. Not from offense turrets. Not from aliens. Not even from falling. The damn admin killed them all with her powers. I of course yelled, and she just laughed at me. No matter, I sent in more marines and they finished the hive off. The timer began counting down, as I watched alien after alien die. But one alien did not. The admin would not let herself die -_- She was flying around the map as a lerk, I don't know if she was using her admin to keep her alive or not. Anyways, that was enough of that server for me, and enough of that admin. I left that server, went to a new one.

btw, after I left this server, I went over to another one, only to find another admin randomly teleporting people and randomly making them suicide. Arg.

Another good argument as to why 12 year olds shouldn't be allowed to admin (j/k). If people abuse their power, you just stop going there.. that's the only way to solve the problem. Nobody wants to play against a cheater, so why play against an admin abusing their powers?
If you're looking for a good server with admins that don't jack people around like that... try ours. It's Verbosity. Runs Clanmod as well, and Verbose and I don't yank people's chains. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

On the other hand it could just be that one admin. On some CS servers i've seen admin status stripped from some people by the owner after we complained about them for similar abuse of admin powers.
Not a flame by any means, but instead of complaining here about it, it'd be more constructive to see if you can complain to the chief admin or whoever runs/owns the server and get this Jinna stripped of admin status.

My uncle Warren used to run a Quake II server for TG, he and his TG mates were well behaved and generally were good people.
Thus, I think I'll make a post on the TG forums about this incident.

Yes, she seemed like she was from TG because she has admin, but she isn't. (and yes, she is a girl.) Jinna came from a CS clan named SHIBBY. She has admin there to, but the several times I've been there, she hasn't abused powers. Anyhow, I'll tell you how she got her powers. She frequently comes to our IRC channel #the-group on gamesnet and she plays at the TG server a lot too.

The main admin, Yakbak, who also owns the server has already limited her power.

However, I don't particularly care for the admins, Yakbak is cool though. That story of yours really pisses me off, and I'm making a note not to play there anymore. Thanks for the heads-up.
EDIT: Actually, after reading Ilendil's post, I might give it a try. Like I said, the [TG] clan is a pretty cool group, but I usually put up my yellow flag when I read a post like this, that's all.
