Whats your PC and did 162 improve FPS?

I'm just curious because I'm ready very mixed feedback on the FPS improvements.
So maybe we should specifiy it a bit.
Simply but down here your rig and if your fps have improved and if what your average fps are now and aprox. how much improvement on which map.
Could look like this:
----------------------------------
Intel Core2Duo E8400
3GB Ram (Flex Mode)
Geforce GTX460
No improvement
Rockdown still somewhere around 25-40 fps. tram everything from 15 to 30max.
Mid settings at 1920x1080 (cant see the "play now" button on other resolutions...) *edit* Sorry, I can. Have to restart the game ;)

30 - 40 fps, huge stuttering, unable to hit anything. GG
EDIT: Reducing graphics quality (including turning off of shadows) does not increase fps. GG

Geforce 9800 GTX
No improvement in 162. In fact, I had no real improvement moving from a Q6600 to the i5 either. I guess it's the video card. Still get 20-25 FPS with all the worst settings and the lag is terrible. I can't hit anything on marines.
i5 750 @ 2.67GHz
4GB RAM
XFX Radeon HD 5850
I get about 40fps in Rockdown, but it sometimes spikes up and down.
4 GB RAM
Radeon HD 5770
Did the same benchmarks in 161 and 162 on high settings, 1280 x 1024.
Numbers are average frames per second.
Rockdown:
48.498 -> 53.794 fps (+10.92%)
Tram:
40.774 -> 47.778 fps (+17.18%)
5870 CF
4GB DDR 3 1600
----------------------------------------
Rough estimate of about 50% increase, from about 30 fps to about 45-50
Idle server @ about 70fps
True, but it's still more than enough for other games I play. I thought everyone was saying NS2 is very CPU-hungry, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
4 GB (though 3.5 addressable - stuck with 32 bit OS) DDR2 SD RAM
ATI Radeon HD4770 (512mb ram)
I get between 25 and 60 FPS (constant 50-60 in the ready room).
Prior to 162 I was getting something more along the lines of 10-30 (40 max in the RR)
I smell marketing hype and people being duped by a video.
gtx480 (which was utilized 1/3 in B161)
4GB RAM
max settings and res = 1920x1080 or 1600x1200 (both about 2MP)
in B162 my fps is like 1.5 times the B161.
in combat, i now have like 25-35 from 15-25. and i think netcode (and probly also a clientside input delay) have been fixed.
all this means i went from "killing skulks 1/10 times" to "not killing skulks 1/10 times"!
i'm guessing that users with weaker cards are already running a somewhat balanced setup,
for me however, CPU is by the single bottleneck by far, so any changes there gives a maximum improvement result.
and users who are bottlenecked by their GPU won't see any big difference from CPU improvements.
users who get REDUCED fps i cannot easily explain...
6 GB RAM
Gtx480
on
1920x1080
40-65 fps
No improvement in 162.

17% (on my machine) is pretty good, but the actual number of additional FPS is too small to notice a difference.
4GB RAM
Geforce 8800GT
FPS is more or less fine, but I still get the massive nonstop stuttering when connected to any server other than my own. 162 didn't help at all in that regard. It was better back at the beginning of beta.
5870 @ stock
8gig @ 1600
Massive performance increase. 60fps steady with some minor drops now and then.
6.0GB RAM
ATI Radeon HD 5600 Series
FPS AVG : 15 - 25
Depends on the # of players and whats going on at the time. Still playable though.
2 GB RAM
GeForce 8800 GT
1024*768 , lowest settings (shadows enabled)
20-30 fps on Tram , 50-80% higher than last build. It can take a dive during real games and especially in combat.
Intel i7 quad core
6 GB RAM
Running 1900x1200 with all the bells and whistles turned on
Was going about 15-30 FPS in 161, now I average 38-45 running around, but dropping as low as 20-25 in heavy combat.
That being said, a 25% minimum boost ain't bad at all!
The game freezes after several seconds of moving around or trying to do anything. At first I thought it had to do something with movement, but on investigation I've found that I'm getting sound loops either from ambient noises or structures. I can't hear footsteps or marine rifle fire (just some extremely short-lived looping noise). I've had zero issues running the game until the 162 update. Checking the task manager after it freezes I see NS2.exe's memory usage shoots up 0.5 gigs to 1.5 from the usual 1.0 when running normally. Perhaps my game integrity was comprimised when it downloaded the new build...I'll try a redownload for now and see if anything changes.
Before the 162 build I usually had around 23-45 fps in a 5v5 server. My own game with minimal stuff I'd hit 40-80 fps. Looking forward to any improvements!

2GB ram
Sapphire 2GB HD 6950
1024 x 768 High settings, 15-30 fps
1024 x 768 Ridiculously awful setting, 15-30 fps...
Something is not right here, graphics settings are not increasing fps at all...
This is a known issue, which the devs will address as optimization continues. This thread is about build 161 vs 162

Try a different server. Some servers are causing people to have lower framerates and more stuttering and rubber banding than usual.
This happened when I created my own lan server as well. Tried tram and rockdown. My reinstall is nearly finished and I'll repost to let people know if it's still an issue. Also, I was playing on some emulators just prior and had my controller plugged in while I was attempting to play NS2 -- I doubt this makes a difference and I haven't heard of any joypad support/issues in the game anyway, but I figured I'd bring it up since its pretty much the only thing I've ever done different when running the game.

This was in Rockdown, it felt okay to me, not significantly better than in B161.
33 FPS would be okay, not good but playable, if there weren't the frame spikes. It seems there is not much input lag, which is good, yet the drops below 25 FPS are very noticeable, they usually occur when running for a while from room to room.
//edit: I'm an idiot, I don't have a 8800GTS but a GTX 260.
first, to get an idea of where your card stands against others:

then, to shop for a new one:

Laptop has Core2Duo 2.2Ghz, 4GB RAM & GeForce 240M 1GB.
Comp is a core i7 860@3.6ghz vid card is a highly overclocked gtx 470.
Fps went from about 30-50 before to about 40-80 now, huge increase over the last build for me.
phenomx x6 1090, geforce460 1GB
xfx 5850
Average fps slightly above 30 or so. Spikes go about 30fps in both directions (+/-).
Maybe a few extra fps but nothing noticeable. Although I guess that when I started playing I was hovering around 25 on average.
So there's been some improvement, I guess, just nothing major.
But progress is progress won't deny that fact.
edit: 1920x1200 max settings.
