    What did you expect, a video?

    Basically, humans spread through part of the galaxy per standard sci-fi, nanotechnology was invented (but we still don't have FTL I think, phase technology is brand new). Then Kharaa showed up, and started taking over ships and stations for no clear reason, and the Trans-System Authorities sent in the Frontiersmen (basically marines on a limited budget, meaning mass-manufacturable tech and stuff) were sent in.

    Short enough?

    The person who wrote six days in sanjii is a writer that UWE hired from what I remember.

    Aren't all books usually pretty long anyways? Anyways, if you want more "straight to the point", I suggest checking out mojokdirector's NS2 fan film. It's not based on Six Days in Sanjii, but is good none-the-less.

    Honestly guys I read the first two parts and it bored the hell out of me, and I didn't even understand half of it. I am surprised no one else thinks the same.

    Dude, the backstory is written in a pretty good imitation of firsthand war stories. Does a good job of catching the confusion and tension. Don't blame you for thinking the Introduction is boring, though.

    There was an earlier background story written like an article for a techie magazine called "Tech Trope" I think. I can't seem to find it, but it interviewed a Frontiersman PR NCO and filled in how the Kharaa came to be. I like it more than Six Days in Sanjii. Or at least Six Days makes more sense after reading this one.

    But I can't find it anywhere.
