Wow. That's a roundhouse kick to the empathy gland.

Interesting to see a zombie game focus on an individual's story, rather than mass slaughter.

Of course this trailer says nothing whatsoever about the gameplay, but if they somehow manage to keep this tone alive then I'd be impressed.

Oh, and if it's PS3 exclusive I will not give it a single more neuron-second.

Awesome trailer, wonder how the gameplay is.

What engine is this... It somehow looks like Source, but also looks much better and then I see the screenshots of the environment making me think it is Crytech...

    According to RPS it's CGI.

Wow that trailer is engaging, my roommate even walked by and completely stopped while I was playing it. I really want to see what the game will be like.

Almost certainly completely nothing at all like the trailer.

    Yeah. A shame, really.

Although the trailer's done its job by getting people interested, I guess. It's a good one!

I think we can all agree that the (3rd party) developers of the <i>trailer</i> are going to benefit at least, so that's a net positive, right?

    Maybe, I guess.

One of the most awesome game cinematics I know of is the <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFkFo5SBx-g" target="_blank">intro to Dawn of War</a>, which was done by <a href="http://features.cgsociety.org/story_custom.php?story_id=2538&page=1" target="_blank"> Blur Studio</a> who have done well for themselves. Got a few short films under their belt and seem to have cornered the market on totally awesome video game cinematics, doing basically all of the good ones you've seen for a while (<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZNXe8Mw4u1A" target="_blank"> DCUO</a>, <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fH-8ggzxNPo" target="_blank"> the Old Republic trailers</a>, <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RahEtkVxAPA" target="_blank"> Prototype</a> etc...) and they did the space CGI on Cameron's Avatar movie.

That said, they're the only game-movie company that has gotten attention for their game work that I know of. So I'm guessing it's somewhat rare.

Well even if the game sucks we can hope that the story makes it worth while, if they can do more CG like in that cut scenes then I'll at least check it out.
