Why is Skulk not allowed to jump then leap?

This sucks i log in and i cant jump in the air and leap to a wall or and area.
So how the hell can i get off the floor or wall without detaching myself from a surface
I really hope the game will impliment jumping and leaping otherwise its gonna be really frustrating trying to leap to places

Define what you are trying to say.
i guess ^^
I approve of this suggestion to make skulks more responsive in their movements.
It's called Leap for a reason, think of a cricket, it needs a platform to jump from, or LEAP in this case, it just can't kick it's legs in midair and get some sorta thrust foward unless the thrust of air generated from it's legs is greater then it's mass and gravity..

I agree in the logic, but from a gameplay pov, i have to say i miss this feature aswell.
As said above, from a gameplay perspective this is a feature to lessen frustration if you happen to jump before leaping and then get killed because of it.
The skulk's ability to jump working in mid air is not.
So I dislike the idea, if you want extra distance, add more distance to the basic leap.
The fact that probably over half of the NS2 players learned this tactic in NS1 (and have it ingrained on our souls) makes it almost a requirement for NS2. Certainly, we could unlearn this behavior -- but it would not be fun -- and does not break the game to keep it.

A bit of history:
The reason the skulk had to do this on ns1 was because leaping from the ground almost guaranteed you would get stuck on something. So, we all learned to jump and then leap. Whether or not it makes logical sense was beside the point.
