[HELP] Performance

Hello,

I have waited so long for this game and I really wanna enjoy/test it now.
My huge problem is the performance, I know that I am not alone with this problem so I wanna ask if someone can give some advise for tweaking the FPS.


My System specifications:

CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955 @ 3.20 GHz
GPU: XFX RADEON HD 5870 (drivers up2date)
RAM: 4GB
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit

My System shouldn't be the problem it can run Battlefield Bad Company 2 on highest Settings (including: Anti-Alaising x8 and Anistrophic x16 @ 1920 x 1080) FPS are never under 30


Are there any commands in the Console or Config parameters that could increase the FPS? they are really instable (14-50)!

Please help me =)

    Atm there isnt much to tweak besides:

    r_shadows false

    But the next big performance patch should be coming soon! (a few weeks :P)

    I really hope BIG means BIG because i didnt recognised any changes since first release (i didn't really play just checked a few minutes after patches)
    But well I waited some years so I can wait abit longer^^
    Primary pre orded cuz NS 1 was so much fun =)

    There's basically little you can do right now to increase performance on your end. The bottleneck is server-side, so if its really bothering you, only play on servers with really good hardware. If you type 'net_stats' into console, it'll give you the relevant info. Specifically, watch the server rate; >20 is good, 10-20 is ok, <10 likely means the server will be unplayable. Servers with good hardware will have a server rate of >10 for the vast majority of the game.
