Sudden performance loss after entering Alien commander mode

It didn't happen right away when I did it, but after a couple of times of in/out the hive to become alien commander. It was completely choppy. I don't know what the command is to display fps, can someone tell me?

I have 12gb ram, 6970 video card with i7 950. I think I have uptodate video card drivers so it shouldn't be anything hardware related. Figured I'd pass on a possible bug, thanks!

The bottleneck is server-side, so if its really bothering you, only play on servers with really good hardware. If you type 'net_stats' into console, it'll give you the relevant info. Specifically, watch the server rate; >20 is good, 10-20 is ok, <10 likely means the server will be unplayable. Servers with good hardware will have a server rate of >10 for the vast majority of the game.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

    Just to quote myself :)

Also, the command to show fps is r_stats in console, but your fps certainly isn't the bottleneck right now. With those specs, you'll probably get somewhere between 40-70 fps.

66 tick should be the minimum some day, with 100 tick being the best.

Problem is, as I stated, that it happened once I did something. The server was completely fine before this point, but an action of mine seemed to gimp my drivers or my game's fps.

in console R_stats 1 to show your FPS.

I use to have that problem and I am running a fairly high end rig here with a GTX 580 1.5mb. I would just Alt Tab then maximize the game tonight and it fixed the problem.
