<div class="IPBDescription">Should there be a hardcore mode?</div>Heys Guys
Now I should start with 'I'm a total noob' becasue its exactly what I am.
But even noobs can have a brain wave now and again, I was talking to a close
friend about this and he seemed to merit the idea, so hear me out please.
Hardcore Mode,
No health bar's
No ammo Knowledge
No energy meters
Max damage
But structures have more HP's
Now this isn't Call of Duty and I thank god for that but, I was playing a Game on the open beta
and lets just say that it hit, A little snag where both teams were both equal and no one could break through
Fades were running in and out then heading back to a hive to heal up, Marines were running over enough
health packs to last them to the end of time. Now Im asking do you as fellow players feel like that it could work and make a faster more Attention grabbing game or Will it just ruin the NS2 game style

As Chris more or less already said... these Hardcore modes are noob modes - hugh benefits for spray and pray luck kills and camping.
If anything, you would need to decrease weapon dmg / increase hp / make smaller more accurate hitboxes / decrease dmg taken depending on bodyparts whatever... to make it more challenging/require better reactions and aiming/skill. (+removing of helpers like radar, friendlyfire on etc.)
No good player would call CoD-style Hardcore modes skillfull.
If you make a real hardcore mode, and not just a wannabe version for "pro"kidz, it can be a nice thing.
PS: CoD is a great FPS series, dont just jump on the mainstream hate-wagon - because its "in" atm to do. (e.g. hate Crysis2 MP instead)
