well, worldcraft is kind of working now...isn't crashing as much and so forth. So far only 3 reboots today. Although, I am now getting an out of memory message - strange cause I have 512mb of ram and 1gb pagefile. Oh well..

Whilst I had it working I didn't a lil bit more on my NS_Crash map.  <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

    I wish I could figure out how you do that mapping though... seems like it'd take forever. :/

    Not as long as you might think...

    Looks nice, though empty. I'm sure you'll fix that, though. <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo--> I would consider shortening the corridor a bit, though. Seems way too much of the same for that distance.

    Ugh, I tried mapping earlier on today.. took me two whole hours of yelling and screaming at WC to get two rooms that were way too big for the player.

    How in the world would it be possible to do that hallway fast? All those supports and slants must take time... or do you just copy paste? What about the lights?

    as for the complexity etc - it's really only 2 brushes for the support, 2 for the wall, 2 for the floor and 2 for the roof...and then copy copy copy copy copy copy copy

    I would definitely suggest that you break up the monotony of that hallway.  Put in something, some (ack) crates, a pile of pipes, just something.  But the architecture is definitely solid.

    Woohoo!  Now I can just imagine the Big Beast (level 5) barreling down that hallway in a full charge at a group of trembling marines.  Kind of like bowling, except that the pins can shoot at the oncoming ball. ;D

    yea make the entire roof a func_breakable so lvl 5 can smash it as he come trampling down the corridor, lol.

    hmmm....the height was designed for the bigger beasts, but smashable roof? hmmm.....tommyd, when I add that I might also add a giant swinging ball and chain and a racecar that can carry people to the moon and a time machine...*oozing with sarcasm*

    It's even easier than that.  Just select the brush, group, or multiple brushes you want to duplicate, hold shift and click and drag to create a copy.

    nice corridor. is it upside-down? that was the original concept i think. it is a bit empty though. barely cover.

    I could see it with a bit of fog or mist floating round you and suddenly masses of bobs appear on the walls ceiling and floor rushing towards you. reminds me of those amazing bits in lord of the rings where there are the HUGE caverns in the mines of moria and there are all the orcs chasing them!
