Making stab useful

I think that you should be able to start the stab animation, blink at a marine, and then finish right as you come out of blink. Right now it's pretty useless in most cases, since it magically paralyzes your legs because you're putting so much effort into the attack that you can't be bothered to actually move.

    then it'd be op

Just make it so you can move while casting it

It wouldn't be OP, as it's quite difficult to time and land an attack just as you're coming out of blink.

I dont know why my eyes glued onto "magically" moment I opened this thread.

I dont think this is the way to improve the second skill.

It'd be OP as it would just turn into the old fade of NS1, Blink in, rape in 1-2 shots without getting shot once, blink out.

atm, the fade is a tad more Blink in, rawr rawr rawr rawr, oh no, took alot damage, blink out

If it were like this, they would have to make it so you can't blink for ~1 second afterwards. Otherwise it'd kinda be like a guided missile.

    My Ideas on Stab:
I could imagine that the second attack of an fade could do poisen damage (kind of like the flamethrougher does dmg over time). So then it would make sense that the attack is slower and harder to use but with the poisen dmg it would make it worth trying :). Or the attack could paralyze the enemie for some seconds or at least make them much slower. I love the fade but atm he attacks way to slow and gets way to hard raped by flamer and pumpgun. So its like the tank version of a skulk. Another Idea, if you dont want to give the attacks special dmg, you could do it like in Counterstrike source with the knife, when you use first attack with the knife its much faster but does little dmg where the second attack does lots of dmg but is much slower. The blinking system is realy cool though! :)

I think I rather keep the 1 hit kill.
I would like a to change stab to a fast attack (same speed as the usual) and make it do low damage, and then add the poison.

then you could blink in, spread some poison, get out. and return to pick off the remains with swipe.
the poison is curable with medpack.

I've always liked that idea. An instant attack that deals damage over time, slowly bleeding affected Marines to death over a few (~2) seconds, unless healed by a Med pack. That should allow the dying Marine more time to fight back, and even survive if one receives healing. If that is not dramatic enough, make both the Marine hit and the Fade unable to move for 1 second (like in the Fade trailer!).
