Cancel building order.

I don't know why this hasn't been implemented i'm pretty sure it's an easy bit of code, a cancel building, for example, say you build an RT or something and all of a sudden the marine that was there to build it gets killed by a skulk, oh look 15 res lost, when you could easily hit "cancel" and get 90% of the cost back, or for example, the other day I was playing summit, over near alien start I build two sentys in the wall geometry by accident and they were stuck there the whole game as unbuilt sentries causing lag by being in the geometry. we really need a cancel button.

No way, man! If you put down a building and your builder is killed, you should lose the building. If you could recycle unbuilt crap imagine how abusable and riskless spamming buildings would be.

and what about buildings that are build outside of the map by accident and cause massive lag to the server hm?

You should be able to recycle a building you just phased in, but it should be instantaneous and only give back 10% of the res spent.

That should be fixed by preventing those buildings from being buildable.

Recycling unbuilt buildings will certainly be in eventually, but expect it to take time just like built buildings (so if the builder goes down the alien just needs to bring the building down in time).

As for when they go through geometry, do it like in NS1; just-created buildings that nobody has touched yet can be recycled (and will do so automatically if an alien touches them) instantly for 90% - that way they can't be used for blocking, and slips of the finger don't cost too much.

"Recycling" should in general require time (im not sure how it currently is). it should be enough time though for a single skulk to kill an 49% built RT (2 skulks without upgrades cannot kill a built RT in time). So the decision to recycle a building should be made wisely. if you recycle, but few other marines come in in time to save it, they would have to wait at first. Resulting in a delay and resource lost.

The aliens though should not be able to do this, since no "builder" is required.

This may be unreliated, but important issue nonetheless: Alien techs researches have no "cancel" button.

maybe thats on purpose, dunno. placing a cancel button is a work of 5 minutes.
