NS1 servers, can't find any

I know this is not the forums for this but I had but one reply in a few days on the NS1 forum and was hoping for more people to help. Please can someone tell me if there are currently NS1 servers up and running? I am wondering because I cannot find any at all, the game says that no servers have responded to my query. I am hoping it is just my computer settings but I also understand that it is an old game and all the servers may have migrated to NS2.

If anyone please could take the time to check for me, I would be greatful.

Note: I have tried disabling my firewall yet still no servers have come up.

    What build does it say your running when you open the game? I had the same problem until i realized i was actually behind build because steam didn't auto update for some reason. If this is your problem (build should be 182) then this is how i fixed it.

    Is this a fix for NS2 or NS1? If you read my OP correctly I am asking for help with NS1. Thankyou though for taking the time :). Very greatful.

    If you're wanting NS1 help you might be better off in the NS1 forum.

    Excellent, This is the kind of response I was looking for, thankyou chris and wulf. Yes I am in the wrong forum chris but I did state I have only gotten one reply in a few days, most people never look at the NS1 forums.

    I see around 50 servers and more than a hundred people/bots right now on steam, something is probably wrong with your config.

    People still play? I tried downloading and playing NS1 again a few weeks ago and every server was just full of bots except 2 in the top 50 with players shown on them, which is why I ended up buying NS2 lol. I never understood bots, if I wanted to use them I would just start my own single-player server.. they ruined HL1(same happened in TFC, I would still play that over TF2 anyday but it's all bots).

    Apparently people do enjoy playing multiplayer coop as 2 of my 3 server are bot servers and they see way more players than the classic server. It really seems to boil down to fun factor. Even some of the BAD clan drop in from time to time to splatter some bots....shhhhhh!

    NS1 and TFC died because development stopped, not due to bots. In fact, the bots are probably part of the reason that there are still people playing NS1.

    An admin 'borrowed' a copy of the able.ns server-files and made his own server (wonga), didn't take long till just about the whole able.ns-community defected (I understand due to able's ###### admins).

    Your probably right, didn't think that through was tired last night lol. Still I wish at least TFC had more players, I use to love playing the rat maps as a kid. TF2 is to boring to me honestly, don't like the look or feel of the game(not a fan at all of cell shading).. and I really don't like how getting hit in TF2 works, was always hard for me to notice if I was dying or not(not to mention the insanely fast gameplay/repeatedly dying/no track of death's which to me took away any challenge as I liked striving for the highest k/d ratio on a server.
