Oh and: can anyone tell me how to test a modified file? Just rename the english one or is there already an option to set a language?

Btw: is anyone working on a german translation? I could try that one too.

    No do not rename the english file :/ I will write something on the wiki :P as to how you can setup the files and test them. Right now there is no way in the options panel to change the locale until we redo the main menu.


    But to give you the less detailed run down... in the gamestrings folder create a txt file called ruRU.txt then in your game_setup.xml you will see how we have locales listed in there add yours (the name of the txt file) and then load the game bring down the console(~) and type option locale ruRU and then restart the game.

    I haven't tried any translating myself, but couldn't the instructions be put in comments at the top of the original file rather than the more out-of-the-way wiki?

    Could be yes but then I would have to add more code to ignore the comments etc... the file is very specific :P I think we will have a better solution in the future :P
