Launch Pad Not Closing

short story:
opened launch pad closed launch pad steam still thought i was in game.
detailed story:
Today I opened the launch pad though steam and was reading though the reading material. when i closed it a little while later i noticed that steam said i was in game when i was clearly not at all in game. so i right click on steam and click exit steam and a window pops up and says waiting for natural selection 2 to close. so, i ctrl shift esc and at applications no ns2 there i click on the processes tab no ns2 there either. had to reboot to get steam to not say ingame anymore. i believe this has happened once before and i didn't realize it because steam says i have played ~75 hrs of ns2 and i know i've played >20hrs.
just thought i would give a heads up.

You should have looked for the LaunchPad.exe process. No need to reboot.
