Server spotted with it
Hey guy and no that ins not a post about if it is possible to get more than 30 ticks!

But I just spotted on http://www.play4dead.com/ns2/ the Server KnX NS2 Server that submits more than 30 ticks to NS2 GMOvermind.

So I am at work so somebody has time to check this out? Just want to know if someone found a way to "unlock" the ticks.

Greetings

Did it have players at the time? Ive noticed that unless a server has at least 1 player, the tickrate is wild, can go up to 50 or down to 1. It seems the max/desired 30/s is only in effect with players.

Thread creator did not show the current activity in terms of player count in the screenshot.

    Zero players on it.
Never saw (even a empty one) going higher than 32.

I've seen servers hit 50 with 0 players active. If you see a 35+ with a full server, then create another thread like this. Otherwise, it's normal to see tickrates get that high randomly.

Anagram US servers hit 30-32 with the server full at times. Expect to see the performance of servers improve greatly when UWE starts working on that task.

I don't know how they are computing the tick rate, but there's no way to increase it above 30.

The tick-rates can be quite erratic when no players are on, or when the server has just started, I wouldn't read too much into it. When a normal game finally gets going you'll always see tick-rates go to where they should (10-30).

Could be a server that just started and hadn't yet formed a proper tick-rate read-out.

Well lets get it to 60. Tickrate should match client update rates, which should also be around 60 sir.
