Small Idea of mine II Game Mode II

Hello there, fellow Marines and Kharaa!
I was just thinking about the usual endgame situation ( marines having their last stand while fades munch them down )
as I was getting the idea of this gamemode:
The Marines are trapped infront of a chokepoint inside a facility. They are cut-off from the evacuation shuttle because
debris/a heavy door/a wall is in their way, and there wasn't any other way to get there.
Also, the swarm ( which recently pushed the marines into this position ) was on the humans boots, so the marines have
to get through the obstacle, aswell as hold the position.
Enough Background, now to the actual idea:
--) The map consists of :
1 - Choke Point, where the Marines have to hold off
2 - ( Atleast ) three passageways, which are long corridors with rooms and else on their way leading from the
Kharaa spawn to the Choke Point.
3 - Kharaa Spawn is a (firstly) cut-off room, but later on the infestation cracks doors open for bigger units to pass.
4 - The evacuation pad is the place where the marines have to make a run for it as soon as the way is clear.
When the marines reach the shuttle, they win.
--) The marines are starting at the choke point, which provides a tech point aswell as a ressource tower.
--) The marines can only build 2 IP's at once.
--) The marines <i>may</i> expand to the sorrounding passageways, but the marines have to consider that they will have to
hold more ground.
--) The marines have got 3 macs/engineers trying to destroy the obstacle. Those NPC's have to survive for x minutes
so that they can open the way.
--) The marine Commander can build sentries (limited?) and everything else aswell.
--) The Kharaa start inside a totally overgrown room with vents to several passages which lead to the choke point.
--) The Kharaa only can be skulks at first, but later in the game, new ( bigger ) vents or passages open
and other lifeforms can be used.
--) The Kharaa Commander can only research upgrades but not build anything.
--) (The Kharaa have only limited units at once ? e.g.: unlimited skulks, 2 gorges, 3 lerks, 2 fades, 1 or two onos ?)

Is that an earlier suggested idea?
Would you leave a team of yours behind and nuke it?
It's a particular mode used in NS1. Both sides have a start period to build huge numbers of resource nodes and defenses. Then, the doors open. Marines realistically can't hold off the hoard as well due to the way the level is built. However, there is hope. After another timer counts down, the "siege room" will open which leads to a region right by the Aliens Hive locations, but through a wall and with easy spotting through glass windows.
It was fun.
